From Bytes to Bites: The Vampire Penguin Remodel

Greenville, South Carolina, is no stranger to culinary innovation, and the recent transformation of a former phone store into a Vampire Penguin dessert shop on Woodruff Road is a sweet testament to this. At Husky Builders, we took the lead in this project, turning a mundane space into a delightful haven for gourmet shaved snow ice and bubble teas.

Before

Out with the Old, In with the Delicious

The transformation began with a bang, as we bid farewell to the old carpet and ushered in sleek and nearly-seamless commercial-grade LVP flooring with warm gray tones and wood texture. The transition from white acoustical ceiling tiles to bold black added a touch of drama and elegance, perfect for the brand. However, the real star of the show was the wavy subway tile backsplash, which provided a visual feast even before the culinary delights were served.

Function Meets Aesthetics

But the project wasn't just about appearances. It was about creating a functional and inviting space. Plumbing and electrical systems were expertly tailored to Vampire Penguin's specific needs, ensuring that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes.

The heart of any dessert shop is its service area, and Vampire Penguin's service area was no exception. A custom quartz countertop with varying heights was installed, not only adding aesthetic charm but also providing a practical workspace for the talented baristas and dessert artists. Cabinetry for storage completed the picture, keeping everything organized and within easy reach.

A Splash of Color and Personality

No transformation would be complete without a fresh coat of paint. Every surface, including the newly installed wainscoting, received a new lease on life with vibrant colors that resonated with Vampire Penguin's fun and inviting brand.

A Community Delight

The end result was a space that radiated warmth, a welcoming ambiance, and a nod to the unique flavors that Vampire Penguin offers. Located on Woodruff Road, it quickly became a beloved spot for shaved snow ice and bubble tea enthusiasts and a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike.
