It's not just about bricks and beams; it's about crafting a process that's as seamless as possible from the inside out. Today we are giving you a glimpse into our internal project process, once you become a Husky Builders' Client.
We will cover every step involved behind the scenes from project onboarding and scheduling a project walkthrough, to your contract, retainer, design, ordering materials, project process, punch list items, and touch ups. These girls are incredible at systems and organization behind the scenes, so we got you from beginning to end!

Step 1: Project Onboarding
Jeimmy (pronounced like “Jamie”) is here to WELCOME you to the PACK!
After you've approved your Initial Estimate through our Onboarding Process, and you've decided we are the right fit for your project, Jeimmy, our Project Coordinator will send a Welcome Message!
This message includes our internal team, so you are kept in the loop about your project timeline, deliveries, and daily happenings. This ensures you have direct communication with our Office, Contractor, and Construction Project Manager.
Step 2: Walkthrough
Prior to starting your project, Jeimmy will also schedule a Walkthrough with our team and Project Manager to include any revisions in the scope of work and cover any changes or details that need to be addressed.
Another goal of ours is to be transparent about the internal process, making sure that there are little to no surprises if we can help it, so we can stay timely and on-budget for your project!
Step 3: Contract + Retainer
After your Walkthrough, your project scope will be updated with those changes to finalize a contract, payment terms, and scheduled start date.
Remember… No projects are scheduled until we have both the Contract signed and the First Payment has been made. So, if you want the secure your date, make sure to seal it with your John Hancock! Payments are simple with our online system offering you choices to pay virtually or you can mail in or drop off a check.
Step 4: Design + Order
After your material selections have been made, it's time for us to order all construction supplies and fixtures.
Allowing us to do your ordering your materials and selections for you ensures that we stay on your project timeline and aren't ordering from several vendors who cannot fulfill orders due to inventory shortages or shipping challenges. Trusting us with this is both easy for you and makes our efficient schedule work for you and other clients.
Step 5: Project Process
And NOW.... it's time for your Project Process!!!
Your timeline and any necessary adjustments will be communicated promptly through the group message and/or your client portal. Our projects have a window of completion and we are dedicated to complete them in a the timely matter.
You may not believe it, but our projects are typically completed much quicker than competitors... and it's not because we are fast, it's because our processes are efficient with how we move our crews.
Here's a peek at our most popular project types and averages that have remained consistent for the duration of our time in business!
Small Bathroom Refreshes- 7-10 days
Master Bathroom Remodels- 2-4 weeks
Kitchen Refreshes 2-4 weeks
Kitchen Remodels 6-8 weeks
Painting or Flooring Installation 3-7 days
Step 6: Final
Nearing the completion of your project, we will schedule a Punch List Walkthrough which is an inspection to address any final touch-ups that need to be addressed.
Your final invoice will be sent prior to this appointment, so that we can collect the Punch List Payment for final items. Our final touches will be scheduled promptly and accordingly to finish your project to substantial completion.
