Pauline is the sweetest soul and has become like family to us at Husky Builders. When she stepped in to meet JP (over a year ago), I had just joined forces, as the interior designer, with him, and he was already working with our cabinet and counter crew to get this design underway for her liking.
Her requests were that she would have an open space (removing the centered pantry that obstructed the view between the living room and kitchen), more storage, and a space to welcome natural light into a desk area. I remember helping her pick the perfect Sherwin Williams paint color to compliment her white on white kitchen. And, she chose a level 4 Caldera Calacatta Quartz counter and backsplash, which I gave her props for because it was the start of a newer trend and she was embracing it! And the results are breath-taking!
With classic stainless appliances, Pauline also chose a complimentary farmhouse sink, brushed fixtures and hardware to match. Her kitchen is now as welcoming as her.
So here's a little of behind the scenes of what this kitchen looked like before and also what it looks like now, complete, lived and loved!
Incase you're wondering about the construction of these cabinets, we consider this a Level 2, semi-custom. We will be discussing more details of levels and their meaning on the blog soon, but this means that she has certain styles, options, and a limited number of colors to choose from in the sizes she needs, but our kitchen designers work within the space and are able to maximize the function and aesthetic to help you achieve the kitchen of your dreams.
